At Coastal Conservation Association(CCA) we know that recreational anglers can have both a positive and negative impact on our public marine resources.
Working in a fisheries management system largely created to manage harvest focused commercial fisheries, CCA has a long history of working to advance the science of recreational fishing and the power of anglers to support key management efforts.
Recognizing this role, CCA has worked with Under Armour, Tide Outfitters and numerous regional advisors to create TAG Chesapeake, a brand new fish tagging program that will focuses on the recreational anglers role in participating in specific studies focused on popular sport fishing species in the Chesapeake Bay.
Together, we can improve our knowledge and understanding of important fish species, and continue to shape the future of fisheries management with the health of our resources and access for the public in mind.
